So, if you’re wondering what the ingredients are for Thanksgiving Bliss?
You start with a brined turkey! I highly recommend the brining process as it yields the most moist, delicious turkey I’ve ever tasted! The process is a little labor intensive, but it’s so worth the effort!!! We’re talkin’ salt, sugar, herbs, and citrus that flavor your turkey overnight! Droool…..!
Add a much needed visit with out-of-town family! Along with more birthday cake for Alex and Christian!
Spice it up with a couple more birthday presents!
Carefully sprinkle in some fun with the cousins – warning: hyperactivity may ensue as the cousins are always excited to see each other!
Prepare, prepare, and prepare a play with your cousins that includes slap stick comic relief, unexpected ad libs, and a narrator with a sound effects machine! This may take several hours, so add that into your cooking time!
Come home and decorate your Christmas tree! Note: it’s even more chaotic if you forget to put away the fall/Thanksgiving decor first before pulling out ALL of the Christmas glitz…. AND if you decorate the wrong tree with the wrong ornaments and have to start all over…. Just a warning to chill before serving up a new holiday!
Finally, you make a date with the BFF and knock out some serious Christmas decor (icing on the cake, if you will), so that you end up with a wonderfully delightful Thanksgiving Bliss that makes you yearn for the next holiday full of family, food, and fun!
