It’s a travesty, really, that I didn’t start enjoying the Christmas holiday until a couple days before Christmas. Usually, there’s an entire month of anticipation, but this year just didn’t feel like Christmas until it was almost too late… I guess it just made me appreciate that time spent with family all the more. We were able to celebrate with my side of the family, Gregg’s side of the family, and also have our own little family celebration. We are all so blessed, whether we realize it or not, and I am incredibly thankful for all of those blessings!

My cute little kiddos
They have been trained well – ha ha ha! 😀
Another part of the holiday process includes CRAFTS!!!! After cocoa this and oreo bark that, It is finally time to unveil my super secret craft project for 2010 – Quilted Notecards!!!!! These were so much fun to make even though the process was a bit lengthy for a notecard – they turned out amazing!
With a bunch of measuring, cutting, fusing, ironing, sewing, and taping…..
Ta-da! You have these fun, funky notecards that are almost too cute to use, although I hope the recipients of these cards do, in fact, use them! 😉
Another annual activity, the kids visited with Santa and told him what they wanted for Christmas. We will not get into the quality of Santa’s costume, namely his beard, or the fact that I will not be able to keep the kids satisfied with the illusion of a real Santa Claus if we continue to run into the “fake Santas” that are just helping the real Santa out for the evening…. It was not the best experience ever, but the deed was done and Santa was notified of our new residence!
There was cookie baking,
Gum drop making,
Visits with sweet friends,
Last minute decor to beautify my table (I have the BEST BFF in the world!!!!!),
Christmas party complete with GAMES,
Attempts at a BIG group family photo with 6 adults and 6 kids…..
AND….. this is as GOOD as it gets…..!!!!!
Celebration with Gregg’s side of the family – this time we only forced the grandparents to pose with all of the kids!!! Getting smarter….!
Last but not least, Christmas in our new home!!!! Santa found us!!! We had Gregg to ourselves for a full day with no work!!!! It was such a lovely, relaxed, truly wonderful Christmas!!!! The kids and I have been enjoying the lazy days of staying up late, sleeping in late, watching movies, and playing – don’t want it to end….! I hope that you all had a blessed, wondermous Christmas holiday surrounded by family and friends! Praying for an outstanding New Year!
